Shenandoah Harris was born and raised in Denver, Colorado. From a young age she was involved in both Theater and Dance. Upon moving to California she continued to pursue her love of dance training at several programs in the Bay Area including Alonzo King Lines Ballet. She went on to receive her BFA in Performance and Choreography from University California, Santa Barbara with a second degree in Theater Production and Design. Shenandoah has trained under many different pedagogies of dance including but not limited to; the acclaimed Akram Khan Company, The Dance Education Laboratory of the New York Public School System, Limon Dance Company, Batsheva Dance Company and Diavolo Architecture in Motion. Upon moving to Los Angeles Shenandoah began working as a Lighting Designer and Technician with Mattel Toys, Golden Voice and Universal Studios as well as dancing as a freelance performer for several projects and music videos. Shenandoah currently tours nationally and internationally with Diavolo Architecture in Motion as both a Performer and Dance Educator. In addition to touring, she is also the Artistic Director of her own athletic modern dance company, Psychopomp Dance Theater, currently in its second season.
